For this project, I wanted to do low-light or night photography portraiture.
The idea was, more specifically, taking two shots of the same subject. The first being a
heavily-posed, “modeled” shot, and the second being more of a “candid”.
What I was going for in this set was a description of how my anxiety and depression manifest themselves. I stare off and my mind goes fuzzy in a dissociative manner. When I’m dissociating, I’m fully aware of what’s happening around me. I just can’t react or move. I understand people talking to me, I just am frozen.
